I think $jakk is the cheapest it has ever been since I have been following the stock at $4.

Japan has many cheap names and quality gets a lot better as you go slightly above book value. Hoshi Iryo-Sanki (TYO 7634) is a small cap ($107m) medical gas, home care, and medical equip company.

I'm very bullish cheap JP logistics companies (see recent  writeups on the Sub'stack, all free). Here's my current cheap logistics basket (which makes up ~20% of my JP stocks). Nissin Corp (9066) and Keihin (9312) are the 2 largest names in the logistics bucket.

Interesting market response to the rumored $ONEW take out of $HZO.  BOTH stocks are trading up nicely today. Synergies and benefits of scale are obvious, but maybe the market wants to reward $ONEW for actually buying at a fortuitous time instead of within 6-12 months of a top.… x.com/i/web/status/1…

What is your favorite smallcap or microcap dividend stock?  Today’s Barron’s gives a rather pathetic take, suggesting stocks as dividend plays with yields as low as 0.6%.  Why choose a stock for yield if it can’t even clear the inflation rate?

I didn’t love the $AMBC news yesterday, but $13.25 per share (~70% of book) is pretty darn cheap given the fortress balance sheet & MGA businesses that the company now commands. I bought some calls on the bet $AMBC uses its buyback and the stock settles out more like $15-16.

We pitched $NMM two years ago to @StockJabber’s Idea Brunch. The stock has since doubled and can probably double again over the next 2 years. Nmm is by no means a great company but lots of ways to win when you buy correctly (1/3 of net asset value).
